Finding a Last-Minute Costume for a Halloween Party in Vegas

So you’re lucky enough to be in Vegas for Halloween. You’ve found THE Halloween party but discovered… oh, no! You didn’t bring a costume. The horror! You’re wondering where to find something – anything, really – so you can attend this party (most of them DO require a costume, after all), but you have no idea where to begin.

That’s where we come in.

There are several stores on the Strip or nearby where you can either rent or buy costumes. As with all things Vegas, there is no shortage of options. You’ll find so many costumes to try that your problem will quickly transform from finding a costume to choosing one! Keep reading to discover the Strip’s top costume shops!

The first store that we recommend is Williams Costumes Co. It is located right on the Strip, and both the Deuce and the Strip bus go directly by it! They have a huge selection to choose from, and you can’t beat the location!

If you don’t mind a 10-minute drive or cab ride, then you can’t go wrong at Star Costume & Theatrical Supply. This place is awesome. As it name implies, it specializes in costumes for shows, theater productions, so the attention to detail and costume quality is simply amazing. Don’t even get me started on the selection! OMGosh! Anything you could possibly think of, they have it! It is definitely worth a visit.

Just a couple of blocks off the Strip on Sahara Avenue, you’ll find American Costumes. This store has been serving Las Vegas since 1978, and it has both costumes and accessories! Costumes are available for purchase or rent, but I’m sure you’ll want to buy the accessories. They are that awesome. Plus, they make for great souvenirs!

If you’re uninterested in extravagant costumes and costly rentals, or you prefer goofier, low-maintenance disguises you can get in a hurry — a funny hat, weird sunglasses, maybe a feathery boa — then just head over to the World’s Largest Gift Shop on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. It’s on every Strip bus’ route, and I promise you’ve never seen anything like it! You can spend hours in this store just browsing and laughing at the inventory, and yes: you’ll end up with something to wear to the party. Of that, we are certain!

So now a small but important reminder: Vegas is the Entertainment Capital of the World, and there’s fun around every corner. But millions of dollars flow through its casinos every day,  so security is extremely important. Whatever your costume is, please remember not to go into casinos with masks, tons of makeup or anything else that might make it difficult for hotel security to ID you. It is for your own safety, and believe it or not, this is one of this great city’s most important priorities. We all want you to enjoy all the fun that this city has to offer, but worry-free!

So go, get dressed, and get ready to celebrate with a few of those festive Halloween cocktails. It’s time to enjoy Halloween, Vegas-style.

Happy Halloween!
