Today I’m super excited to share the best farmer’s market in L.A. with all of you! The Original Farmers Market is known for its historical plaza, wide variety of food and wares, and awesome location right next to a huge high-end shopping mall. Its laid-back outdoor European market vibe will make you feel like you’re not in the U.S.! I absolutely love it.
Make sure you come with an empty stomach because you can find all kinds of food — French, Italian, American, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, and even Thai. There are tons of dessert options, too.
We were starving when we arrived there and went straight to an amazing Brazilian BBQ restaurant called Pampas Grill. The line was long, but it was so worth the wait. They serve the best garlic beef and lamb ever. All the side dishes are heavenly, too. I especially enjoyed the cheese bread. Just looking at the pictures makes me hungry again.
We found some really good deals at the farmers market, including blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries all for $1 a box. The best part is all of the produce is locally sourced and extremely fresh!
The European grocery store sells goods you cannot find anywhere else in the U.S.! They have a great selection of cheeses, wines, pastas, sauces, dressings, snacks and more.
If you have a sweet tooth, you will definitely be satisfied with this market’s selection of treats. The peach pies we tried were amazing. Seriously — we ate so much that we needed some exercise afterwards. Luckily, there was a shopping mall right next door to help us walk it off. 😉
This is hands down the best farmer’s market I’ve been to! Plan on spending at least two hours and don’t forget to get your parking validated if you eat at any of the restaurants.
